Hyundai Kona 2021 – Eye-catching design, modern equipment, strong engine
Immediately after its launch, with its beautiful design, modern equipment, powerful engine … the 5-seat class B crossover Hyundai Kona quickly created a great attraction for Vietnamese users. Hyundai Kona 2021 is currently being evaluated more prominently than competitors in the same segment as Ford EcoSport, Honda HR-V, Kia Seltos, Toyota Corolla Cross …
However, besides many advantages, many users rated the Hyundai Kona for a higher price, the sitting space is not really spacious and there are still some other disadvantages. Although not as harsh as before, but the prejudice “Japanese cars – Korean cars” is also a factor that makes many buyers afraid of Hyundai Kona. So is Kona really good, durable and should I buy Kona at this time?
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The designers of Hyundai managed the difficult task of bringing the charm of Kona’s exterior design into the cabin while maintaining comfort and comfort. Quality materials, good ergonomics and comfortable seats give a mature and refined feel but not out of place with Kona’s fun outward appearance. The driver is faced with a pair of simple analog gauges framed by a slim digital display; The steering wheel is wrapped in unique grain leather with contrast stitching and integrates the cruise control and audio settings controls. Those upgrading from a compact hatchback or sedan will find the Kona’s cargo space perfectly suited, but buyers downsizing from a larger SUV will most likely find it difficult. Kona nearly beat the Mazda CX-3 in our testing to see how much luggage it could fit. Kona managed to hold 14 suitcases of our luggage – two more than the CX-3 but eight less than the Honda HR-V.
Exterior of Hyundai Kona 2021
Different from the currently popular seamless design, the details at the top of the Hyundai Kona car are separate, but like pieces of the puzzle to create a balance, impressive, full of attraction.
Hyundai Kona 2021 polygonal grille is designed in Cascading Grill style like Hyundai Tucson and Hyundai SantaFe. But in Kona, the grille is more compact and only has a black mesh surface like the Santa Fe 2021, without the traditional cross bars like the Tucson. In the highest version of the Kona 1.6 Turbo, the radiator grille is edged with shiny chrome to increase the elegance.
The headlight-cos is equally strange when it is inside the black plastic-coated cavity linked to the air cavity right below. One advantage Kona 2021 is that the headlamp – cos uses LED technology and is equipped with both automatic and corner lighting features like Tucson and SantaFe. While competitors currently only use Projector Halogen. But also a little regret that the LED light is only applicable on 2 expensive versions, Kona 2.0 and Kona 1.6 Turbo. While the standard Kona uses only halogen lamps and does not have an angle projection feature.
Just below the grille is the front grille running long on the front bumper, seamlessly connected with 2 side fog lights. The front bumper is made of black plastic that covers the bottom of the car, and has a quite gentle line. Some users do not like this detail because they think that the front bumper makes the front of the car “less luxurious”.
Another highlight at the top of the Hyundai Kona 2021 that will be flawed without mentioning it is the cap on the car with very beautiful and modern embossed veins.
The body of the Hyundai Kona 2021 is also attractive with embossed veins connecting the front side of the car to the body and rear. And there is a stronger and more sporty feeling when from the front bumper, the long black plastic cladding covers the 2 wheel arches and the lower body. But there are also some users who do not like this detail, they rate Kona “slightly less luxurious”.
Infotainment and connectivity
Standing at the top of Kona’s dashboard is a touchscreen infotainment system with simple shortcut buttons that lets you easily switch between popular menus. We found the system to be intuitive but leisure when responding to inputs. SE, SEL and Limited versions come with standard touchscreen displays, which are smaller than 7.0 inches, but Ultimate model buyers considered the larger 8.0-inch unit also features navigation with counter Real-time traffic updates. Driving directions can be projected onto the Ultimate’s head-up display flipping up from the dashboard and also showing the vehicle’s speed and other information. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities are standard, so buyers of one of the three lower versions can still access turn-by-turn directions from their smartphones.
